In a database table, what is a field and what is a record?
A field is a single column that stores one type of attribute (e.g., Name); a record is a complete row containing all field values for one entity (e.g., one student).
What is a primary key in a database table?
A primary key is a field (or set of fields) that uniquely identifies each record in a table; it cannot be duplicate or null.
Name four common data types used when creating database fields.
Text/Varchar, Number/Integer, Date/Time, Boolean (Yes/No), and Currency/Decimal.
In a DBMS, what is the difference between a Query, a Form and a Report?
A Query retrieves/filters specific data from tables; a Form provides a user-friendly interface to enter and view data; a Report presents and formats data for printing/output.
