6. What are the 7 C's of effective communication?

   Feedback is the receiver's response to the sender's message; it confirms that the message was received and understood and allows the sender to correct or continue.

   Self-management is the ability to control and manage one's own emotions, thoughts, time and behaviour effectively in different situations to achieve goals.

9. What is a SWOT analysis used for in self-management?

   SWOT analysis identifies a person's Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats to help in self-assessment and personal development.

10. What is stress, and name two common stress-management techniques.

    Stress is the body's response to physical or mental pressure/demands. Techniques include time management, physical exercise, yoga/meditation, adequate sleep, and a healthy diet.

11. What does ICT stand for and what does it mean?

    ICT stands for Information and Communication Technology - all technologies used to handle, store, create, process and communicate information (computers, internet, mobile devices, etc.).

12. What is an operating system? Give two examples.

    An operating system (OS) is system software that manages computer hardware and software resources and provides an interface to the user. Examples: Windows, Ubuntu/Linux, macOS, Android.

13. List the basic steps to keep a computer/device safe and maintained.

    Keep the device clean and dust-free, install and update antivirus, take regular backups, update software, use strong passwords, and avoid overheating.

14. Define entrepreneurship.

    Entrepreneurship is the activity of setting up, organising and running a business, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit, by identifying needs and creating value.

15. Who is an entrepreneur and name two key qualities.

    An entrepreneur is a person who sets up and runs a business taking risks. Qualities: hard work, confidence, creativity/innovation, risk-taking, leadership, and decision-making.

16. What is the difference between wage employment and self-employment (entrepreneurship)?

    In wage employment a person works for an employer for a salary/fixed income; in self-employment/entrepreneurship a person runs their own business, bears risk, and earns profit.

17. What are Green Skills?

    Green skills are the knowledge, abilities and attitudes needed to live in and support a sustainable and resource-efficient society that protects the environment.

18. Define sustainable development.

    Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

19. What are the '3 R's' of waste management taught in Green Skills?

    Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

20. In a word processor, what is a 'style'?

    A style is a predefined set of formatting characteristics (font, size, colour, spacing, alignment, etc.) that can be applied to text, paragraphs, pages or lists at once for consistency.

21. Name the main categories/types of styles in a word processor like LibreOffice Writer.

22. What is one major advantage of using styles instead of manual formatting?
