What is the process to solve a Number Classification question?
Check each number for shared properties (prime, perfect square/cube, multiples, odd/even, digit-sum) and identify the one that breaks the common rule.
What is Figural Classification?
A non-verbal reasoning type where you choose the figure that does not belong with the group because it differs in shape, symmetry, number of elements, or orientation.
What features should you compare when solving a Figural Classification question?
Number of sides/lines, symmetry, open vs closed figures, shading, rotation/orientation, and whether elements are curved or straight.
What is a Semantic Series?
A sequence of words (or letters arranged by meaning) ordered by a logical pattern, where you must find the missing or next term based on relationships like size, sequence, or hierarchy.
Complete the semantic series: Second, Minute, Hour, ?
Day. The series moves through increasing units of time.
Complete the semantic series: Centimetre, Metre, Kilometre, ?
There is no standard next SI unit beyond kilometre in common use, but the pattern is increasing units of length (each ×1000).
Arrange in a logical (semantic) series: Infant, Child, Adult, Old.
Infant → Child → Adult → Old. The pattern is increasing human age/life stages.
What is a Number Series?
A sequence of numbers arranged by a fixed mathematical rule (arithmetic, geometric, squares, cubes, etc.), where you find the missing or next number by identifying the rule.
Find the next term: 2, 4, 8, 16, ?
32. It is a geometric series where each term is multiplied by 2.
Find the next term: 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, ?
36. The series is squares of natural numbers (6²=36).
Find the next term: 1, 8, 27, 64, ?
125. The series is cubes of natural numbers (5³=125).
Find the next term: 3, 6, 11, 18, 27, ?
38. The differences increase by consecutive odd numbers (3,5,7,9,11), so 27+11=38.

80. Each term doubles the previous (geometric ratio of 2).
Find the next term in the Fibonacci-type series: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, ?
13. Each term is the sum of the two preceding terms (5+8=13).
What is the recommended method for solving a Number Series?
Find the difference between consecutive terms; if constant it is arithmetic, if a ratio it is geometric, otherwise check second differences, squares, cubes, primes, or alternating patterns.

13. The series lists consecutive prime numbers.
Find the odd term in series: 4, 9, 16, 25, 35, 49.
35. The series is perfect squares (2²,3²,4²,5²,7²) so 35 breaks the pattern; it should be 36.
What is a Figural Series?
A non-verbal sequence of figures changing by a consistent rule (rotation, addition/removal of elements, movement), where you select the figure that continues the pattern.
What changes should you track in a Figural Series problem?
Step-by-step rotation direction and angle, increase/decrease in the number of elements, movement of a symbol's position, and any alternating or cyclic pattern across figures.
In a Figural Series where a line rotates 45° clockwise each step, how do you find the next figure?
Continue the rotation by adding another 45° clockwise to the last figure's position.
How does Analogy differ from Classification in reasoning?
In Analogy you apply a relationship between a known pair to find a matching term; in Classification you find the common property among items and pick the odd one out that does not share it.
How does a Series differ from an Analogy?
A Series is a continuous ordered sequence following one rule across many terms (find the next/missing term), while an Analogy compares two discrete pairs to match a single relationship.
