To face a difficult or unpleasant situation bravely and decisively.

Something that seems bad at first but turns out to be beneficial.

Very rarely; almost never.
In a verbal analogy, what is the first step to solving it?
Identify the precise relationship between the first pair of words (e.g., synonym, antonym, part-to-whole, cause-effect, worker-tool), then find the pair with the same relationship.

Relationship is worker-to-workplace; answer is School.

What is a para-jumble question and the recommended solving method?
A set of jumbled sentences to be rearranged into a coherent paragraph. Method: find the opening sentence (independent, introduces topic), identify mandatory pairs using linking words/pronouns/transitions, and locate the concluding sentence.
What clues help link sentences in para jumbles?
Pronoun references (he/it/they referring to a prior noun), transition words (however, therefore, moreover), articles (a/an introduces a noun first, 'the' refers back), and chronological/logical order.
In a sentence-insertion question, how do you decide where a sentence fits?
Place it where it maintains logical flow and pronoun/reference continuity—it should connect to the idea before it and lead naturally into the idea after it.
How do you identify the 'odd sentence out' in a set?
Find the common theme/topic shared by most sentences; the odd one introduces an unrelated idea, breaks the logical flow, or shifts the topic.
In critical reasoning, what is an assumption?
An unstated premise that must be true for the argument's conclusion to hold; it bridges the gap between the stated premises and the conclusion.
In critical reasoning, what is the difference between strengthening and weakening an argument?
Strengthening adds support that makes the conclusion more likely true; weakening introduces information that makes the conclusion less likely or attacks the underlying assumption.
What is a cloze test?
A passage with multiple blanks where each blank must be filled with the most appropriate word from given options, testing vocabulary, grammar, and coherence across the whole passage.
What is the best strategy for a cloze test?
First read the entire passage to grasp the overall theme, then fill blanks considering grammar, collocation, and contextual meaning, ensuring each choice keeps the passage coherent and consistent in tone.
What this deck covers
The Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension deck follows the MH CET MBA Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension syllabus — 4 chapters and 16 topics — so questions land on material that is genuinely examinable rather than trivia around it. That works out to roughly 12.8 cards per chapter.
Answers are written to be recallable, not just readable — averaging about 100 characters, which is long enough to carry the reasoning and short enough to say out loud.
