    2 is the only even prime number, because every other even number is divisible by 2 (in addition to 1 and itself), giving it more than two factors.

  2. State the relationship between the LCM and HCF of two numbers.

    For two numbers a and b: LCM × HCF = a × b. (The product of the two numbers equals the product of their LCM and HCF.)

  3. What are co-prime (relatively prime) numbers?

    Two numbers are co-prime if their highest common factor (HCF) is 1, meaning they share no common factor other than 1 (e.g., 8 and 15).

  4. State the divisibility rule for 3 and for 9.

    A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3; it is divisible by 9 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 9.

  5. State the divisibility rule for 11.

    A number is divisible by 11 if the difference between the sum of digits at odd places and the sum of digits at even places is 0 or a multiple of 11.

  6. What does 'order of magnitude' mean, and how do two quantities differ by one order of magnitude?

    Order of magnitude is the approximate size of a number expressed as a power of 10. Two quantities differ by one order of magnitude when one is about 10 times the other.

    Simple Interest (SI) = (P × R × T) / 100, where P = principal, R = rate of interest per annum, and T = time in years.

  8. What is the formula for compound interest (amount) compounded annually?

    Amount A = P(1 + R/100)^T, where P = principal, R = annual rate, T = time in years; Compound Interest = A − P.

  9. How do you convert a fraction or ratio into a percentage?

    Multiply the fraction (or ratio value) by 100. For example, 3/4 = (3/4) × 100 = 75%.

  23. In a pie chart, how do you convert a percentage share into the central angle of its sector?
