    Multiply the fraction by 100. For example, 3/4 = (3/4) x 100 = 75%.

    SP = CP x (100 + Profit%) / 100. For a loss, SP = CP x (100 - Loss%) / 100.

    A ratio is a comparison of two quantities of the same kind by division, written a : b, indicating how many times one is of the other.

    A proportion is an equality of two ratios: a : b = c : d, meaning a/b = c/d. Here a and d are extremes, b and c are means.

    Product of extremes = product of means, i.e., a x d = b x c (cross-multiplication).

  11. How do you divide a quantity in the ratio a : b?

  23. If A does a work in x days and B in y days, in how many days do they finish together?

    Together they take (x x y) / (x + y) days, since combined one-day work = 1/x + 1/y.
