Distinguish between 'scale' and 'proportion' in architectural drawing.
Scale is the size of an object relative to a known standard or to the human figure (how big it actually feels). Proportion is the internal relationship of sizes among parts of the object. Scale is external/comparative; proportion is internal.

Why must all separate objects in a single perspective scene share the same horizon line and vanishing points?
Because the horizon line represents one fixed viewer eye level for the whole scene. Sharing it keeps all objects consistent in viewpoint and scale; using different horizons would make objects look as if seen from different eye levels, breaking spatial unity.
