    Range = largest observation − smallest observation.

  19. Define the six trigonometric ratios in terms of a right triangle.

    sin θ = opp/hyp, cos θ = adj/hyp, tan θ = opp/adj, cosec θ = hyp/opp, sec θ = hyp/adj, cot θ = adj/opp.

  20. State the fundamental trigonometric identity relating sin and cos.

    sin²θ + cos²θ = 1.

  21. State the identity involving sec and tan.

    sec²θ − tan²θ = 1, i.e. 1 + tan²θ = sec²θ.

  22. State the identity involving cosec and cot.

    cosec²θ − cot²θ = 1, i.e. 1 + cot²θ = cosec²θ.

  24. What are the reciprocal relationships among the trigonometric ratios?
