2. What is a behavioral tendency item?

   A self-report item asking how a person typically behaves or would prefer to act in work-relevant situations, measuring habitual behavioral patterns rather than knowledge.

3. How does a behavioral tendency item differ from a situational judgment item?

   A behavioral tendency item asks what you generally/usually do (trait-like self-report); a situational judgment item presents a specific scenario and asks what action is best or what you would do.

4. What is a Situational Judgment Test (SJT)?

   A test presenting realistic work scenarios with response options, scored on whether the chosen action matches expert-rated effective behavior for the role.

5. What are the two common response instructions in SJTs?

   'Would do' (behavioral tendency — what you would actually do) and 'should do' (knowledge — the most effective action). 'Should do' instructions are less fakable but more like a knowledge test.

8. How is a raw score converted to a percentile in norm-referenced scoring?

   A standardized score showing how many standard deviations a raw score is from the mean: z = (X − mean) / standard deviation. Mean 0, SD 1.
