  3. What is the divisibility rule for 8?

    A number is divisible by 8 if the number formed by its last three digits is divisible by 8.

  4. Classify natural numbers by their factors into the three basic types.

    Prime (exactly two factors: 1 and itself), Composite (more than two factors), and 1 (which is neither prime nor composite).

    LCM of fractions = LCM of numerators / HCF of denominators.

  12. State the BODMAS order of operations.

  13. In simplification, what does the word 'of' mean and what is its priority?

    'Of' means multiplication and is performed before normal division/multiplication (treated with brackets/orders priority).

  14. Define the average (arithmetic mean) of n quantities.

    Average = (Sum of all observations) / (Number of observations).

    (n + 1) / 2

    First n even numbers: n + 1. First n odd numbers: n.

    A ratio a:b compares two quantities by division. 'a' (the first term) is the antecedent; 'b' (the second term) is the consequent.
