   Four or five items share a common property or category; you must find the one item that does NOT share that common property (the odd one).

4. In number classification, what should you check to find the odd number out?

   Check for shared properties such as: all primes, all perfect squares/cubes, all even/odd, all multiples of a number, or a common pattern (e.g., n^2+1).

5. What is a 'Series Completion' problem?

   A sequence of numbers, letters, or figures arranged by a hidden rule; you must identify the pattern and supply the next (or missing) term.

6. List the common patterns used in number series.

   Arithmetic (constant difference), geometric (constant ratio), squares, cubes, prime numbers, alternating series, and difference-of-differences patterns.

7. In a letter series, what tool is used to track positions of letters?

   The position values A=1 to Z=26 (and their reverse), used to compute gaps and jumps between letters in the sequence.

    It is always valid — if some A are B, then some B are A (immediate inference / conversion of a particular affirmative).
