    A bond formed by the mutual sharing of one or more pairs of electrons between two atoms (usually non-metals).

  19. What is a coordinate (dative) bond?

    A covalent bond in which the shared pair of electrons is contributed by only one of the two atoms (the donor); the other atom (acceptor) only shares it.
