What is the difference between Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)?
QA is process-oriented and proactive — it builds quality into the system to prevent defects. QC is product-oriented and reactive — it inspects/tests the output to detect defects that have already occurred.
Define the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle used for continual improvement.
Plan: identify the problem and plan a change. Do: implement the change on a small scale. Check: measure results against expectations. Act: standardise the change if successful, or revise and repeat. It is an iterative loop for continual improvement.
What does the standard ISO 9001 specify?
